Terry Fox Run
Each year, schools participate in a Terry Fox Run to raise awareness and money in support of cancer research. Connaught students will be running this Thursday, October 10. Half the school will run in the morning and half in the afternoon. A few reminders:
- Students are encouraged to dress in comfortable clothing appropriate for running
- Pack an extra snack
- Send a water bottle with their name on it
- Toonie for Terry donation jars in are in classrooms if you would like to donate

Breakfast Program
If you signed your child up to participate in our breakfast program they must arrive at the East doors at 7:40 to have enough time to eat before class. Doors close at 7:45.
Parenting in a Dual Language Workshop
Calgary Bridge Foundation will be holding a parenting workshop in-person at Connaught School on Thursday, October 10 at 6:00 pm in the gym. The presentation will be in Arabic, Ukranian and English. Please use the East playground doors to enter. This is an adult only event. Click here to sign up.
Roots of Empathy
Roots of Empathy is a program designed to support students in developing empathy. An instructor works with the class and a parent and baby through a series of lessons. The program has been to Connaught in the past and is looking at coming back. They are looking for families with babies who would like to participate.
