Staffing
Our fall budget has allowed us to increase our staff to provide additional support to our grade 1 – 3 students. To allow this to happen, Ms. Percival will be coming out of the classroom to work with small groups on learning intervention in literacy and math. We have hired Marissa Ross to teach grade 2/3 in Ms. Percival’s classroom. Please welcome Ms. Marissa to our Connaught learning team.
Bottle Drive
Friends of Connaught (the fundraising organization for Connaught School) and school administration are coordinating a bottle drive fundraiser from Monday, November 4 to Thursday, November 7, 2024. The money raised will go toward improving the student experience at our school.
During these dates (Nov. 4-7), please bring your refundable drink containers to school. All refundables can be dropped off at the GREEN BIN next to the garbage cans in the parking lot. Volunteers will be there to meet you from 7:45 – 8:05.
This website includes pictures of each kind of refundable container. Please clean, drain, and dry every container to minimize odour and mess.
Thank you for your support!
After School
A friendly reminder that any students who have permission to walk home alone after school must go home immediately after the bell. Students are only allowed to play in the playground after school if they are supervised by their parents/guardians/caregivers.

Looking for Babies
Roots of Empathy is a program designed to support students in developing empathy. An instructor works with the class and a parent and baby through a series of lessons. The program has been to Connaught in the past and is looking at coming back. They are looking for families with babies who would like to participate. If you have a baby and would like to participate, please contact Cheryl Ashworth, Southern Alberta Coordinator, Roots of Empathy at cashworth@rootsofempathy.org
