Safety at Drop Off and Pick Up
With the snowy weather it is harder for drivers to stop quickly. Please ensure you are using sidewalks and crosswalks when coming to and from school. Please do not walk through the parking lot or run across the middle of the road. Thank you to the families who are finding safe, legal places to park or stop to drop off students.

Help us share our gratitude to our teachers and staff by delivering homemade treats during the month of December. If you want to make something, please email School Council member Jessie Andjelic (jessie@spectacle-bureau.com) and she will coordinate the best time for you to deliver it to the staff lounge at Connaught School. We all appreciate all the hard work and care of every staff member and this is one way we can show our thanks before the winter break.

Casino Volunteers Needed!
Friends of Connaught is holding a casino fundraiser on December 20 and 21, and we require volunteers to make it happen. Please fill out this form to sign up for an 8-hour shift on one of those days. Information about the volunteer shifts is included in the form.
This casino fundraiser is the ONLY major fundraiser we do for our school, and it generates over $60,000 that goes directly toward improving the school experience for all our students. We use these funds to purchase musical instruments, technology, math manipulatives, physical education equipment and other items to enhance the learning experience for our students.
- To be eligible to volunteer, you only need to be 18 years of age or older. There are no other limitations.
- Please encourage any adult you know to volunteer. This may include aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and grandparents.
- Volunteers do not require any previous knowledge for the position or special skills. Training is provided on site and there are people there to help you and answer questions.

- Meals and snacks are provided.
We know that an 8-hour volunteer shift can be a challenge for many people, so we deeply appreciate your commitment to our school. If you know of anyone else who can volunteer for the casino, please forward this form to them.
