News from Student Council: Spirit Week
- On December 17, we invite you to come dressed in your favourite winter costume. Maybe an elf, a snowman or the Grinch himself. You are also invited to wear your winter pajamas.
- On December 18 wear your ugly winter sweater. The uglier the better.
- On December 19, students and staff are invited to wear their winter hats. Wear your toque or something festive if you like
- And finally, on December 20 come dressed ready to ring in the New Year, all sparkly and bright!
- We look forward to seeing everyone having fun and participating in next week’s Spirit Week.
Let's thank Connaught School Staff with Homemade Treats
Help us share our gratitude to our teachers and staff by delivering homemade treats during the month of December. If you want to make something, please email, call, or text School Council member Jessie Andjelic (jessie@spectacle-bureau.com, 403-589-7757) and she will coordinate the best time for you to deliver it to the staff lounge at Connaught School. We all appreciate all the hard work and care of every staff member and this is one way we can show our thanks before the winter break.

We Need just Two more Casino Volunteers!
Friends of Connaught is holding a casino fundraiser on December 20 and 21 and Cowboys Casino, and we need just two more volunteers on Friday, December 20. Please fill out this form to sign up for one of those shifts. Information about the volunteer shifts is included in the form.
This event will raise over $60,000 for our students. However, if we do not have enough volunteers, we will not receive any of that money. If you know of anyone else who wants to volunteer, please share the registration form with them.
To be eligible to volunteer, you only need to be 18 years of age or older. There are no other limitations. Volunteers do not require any previous knowledge for the position or special skills. Training is provided on site and there are people there to help you and answer questions.
Meals and snacks are provided.
Email Daorcey Le Bray at dlebray@gmail.com if you have any questions.
